Playdates

Rocco is almost one.. in like, two months! I swear I was just in that hospital shaking uncontrollably when the doctor said it was time to push. Now I am changing diapers like a pro, doing an hour long bedtime routine like I was born doing it, and I laugh when Eric asks me what I got done that day.
Since Rocco is obsessed with other babies and wont stop screaming with delight when he sees them, I decided he's old enough to put together a little playdate with all of our friends kids. It was so fun to see how Rocco interacted with the other kids. (Were going to need to work on "sharing" and not taking other kids toys) but besides that, he had so much fun! I cant wait for the weather to get warmer so we can start doing fun trips outdoors and finally use all that camping gear we got for Christmas!

Getting home from the play date I put Rocco down for his nap. A couple hours later I could tell when he woke up cause he started talking to himself, but I decided to finish the dishes before I went in to get him. About ten minutes later when I went in there, he was standing up in his crib and I noticed tiny black dots all over his face and around his mouth. I was so confused until I saw that the crib had bite marks all over it! Little dude was gnawing on his crib and eating the paint chips off of it. Hopefully this wont cause any permanent damage.. and if it does, I'm deleting the part where I say I left him in the crib while I finished cleaning.
I wish I got some pictures of that but I was laughing to hard to even remember.
but...
here are some pictures from the fun little get together we had! Thanks to all the girls that came! So excited for our next one :)

New year, New post!

So I think Im doing pretty good on personal blogging. So far I'm up to blogging about my family once a year?

Quick summary of whats going on in our lives right now. Rocco is almost ten months old! yes, TEN MONTHS OLD! I want to cry everytime I say it. Where did my little baby go? Now he is crawling, breaking, standing, and eating everything in sight. Its bittersweet watching your babies grow. You love seeing every stage they go into, but miss the old stages when they grow out of them. It is very very cliche to say this, but time really does speed by when you have kids. I think I have taken over two thousand pictures of this little guy  (for reals, maybe even more). That is way over the top, I know, but its the only thing I can do to preserve those little moments and things he does.

Rocco can stand up while holding onto things. He can crawl to an outlet or plug faster than anyone I know. He loves listening to music and bouncing his head up and down to the beat. He loves when we make animal sounds and playing peek-a-boo. He also loves the camera. I think I have ruined this poor boy.. everytime I pull out the camera he automatically looks at it and gives a cheesy little grin. But most of all, he loves his daddy. I love the strong bond they have together. I must admit I was jealous at first, I mean, I carried him around for 9 months! but now I absolutely adore seeing them laugh together.

Eric is at BYU and graduating with his BS in Business management and an emphasis in marketing (I had to ask him just barely to make sure that was right). He just got an internship with PepsiCo-Frito Lay and we find out next week where we are headed for the summer. Super anxious to find out! He plays soccer once a week on a Rec League and loves it! His latin blood makes him look so intimidating on the field ;) Every day Eric leaves for school at 8am and then goes straight to work till 5pm then straight back to school to study until the wee hours of the night. Its hard not seeing him all day or even all night a lot of the time. But it made us cherish the times we do have together as a family.
For our two year anniversary Eric surprised me with a weekend getaway to SLC (the furthest I wanted to go without Rocco with us) Since I was pregnant for our big one year anniversary, we went all out for our two year! It was so fun and I am so grateful for Eric to spend so much time planning and making it extra special for me. I must say, I lucked out in the husband department!

Im working weekends at the photo studio "Pic Couture" in South Jordan and then during the week I do my own photography. It was definately hard starting a business and trying to make it grow with a newborn baby around the house. But it is totally worth it. I love my clients so much! I love being able to meet new people and then come home to my baby while I work on editing them in my office. My job is literally the best, how many people can literally say they have their dream job and they own their own business? I have been very blessed and am so grateful to be able to work and be a mommy the same time.

Yesterday BYU was having an open house for all their museums. We only went to the Zion museum for the free pizza but the dinosaur museum was the best! Eric and I love museums, everything about them! So when we took Rocco to the dinosaur museum we were so happy that he loved them just as much as we do! Everytime we would pass a dinosaur he would squeal and want to touch it. Love my little monkey so much!
Here are some pictures from the museum last night:
