happy birthday, mi vida!

23! Get this boy a wheelchair…
Erics birthday was June 25th.. my little man is now 23 years old! I attempted to throw him a surprise BBQ party the night before his birthday, but if you know Eric, you know that he suspects anything and questions everything! Telling him he couldn’t come to my house till 8pm because I got off work late and wanted to make him a yummy dinner didn’t fool him... the whole day he was asking me if he could just come over and hang out with my brothers while I cook or come over and help me cook... I was going insane keeping track of all my excuses and lies to make it so he couldn’t come over till later! and of course, if you know Eric, you know that 8pm, to him, means 8:45pm.. but it worked out perfectly because that is around when everyone could show up!

It was so much fun attempting to BBQ burgers for everyone and catching up with all our friends! If only Steve, Jon, Whit and Taylor were there the Party would have been complete, come back to Utah!!!

Thank you so much for everyone that came and for bringing stuff to help out! you all are amazing friends to Eric and I know he loved seeing all of you there!

we ended the night with some serenading from Eric Michels and, of course, Longboarding!

For Eric’s actual Birth-DAY I wanted him all to myself! And even though none of my plans worked out for the day, Eric was still very sweet about it and we still had so much fun!

We ate Breakfast together, went shopping together… (and even though I was VERY against it, Eric persisted on getting me a cute little purple purse for me… for his birthday…) He is a little gummy bear and spoils me way too much! I got him a swimsuit at the mall and we went to the cottonwood pool to swim around and fall asleep under the sun. After a confusing couple of hours on figuring out what to do, we decided to go to the Drive-in theatre… the funnest part of the day!! Green Lantern.. you sucked.. but THOR was AMAZING!!

I love you so much, Eric! I hope your big day was a good one!

I hope I let you know how special you are to me and how much I love and appreciate you and all you have done and still do for me! Your ‘just because’ flowers you gave me the other day made me feel so loved and special, and I hope I let you feel that way every single day we spend together!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

were back in business!

Summertime!
Now that Eric is finally home we can start our summer together!
The first month of June is almost gone, but we already got some fun days of summer already crossed off the list!
The first week Eric was home we both discovered that a new Muppet movie is coming out in November! Eric and I LOVE the Muppets, so we decided to get in the spirit of things and create our own Muppets!
So right after swimming we took a quick trip to the Micheals craft store,  borrowed one hot glue gun.. put that with 2 creative minds and Viola…
Muppets!!!!

For one of our summer to-do’s

Eric took me to the Salt Lake Art Festival!

It was so fun spending the day with him! We walked around looking at all the crazy art and laughed all night long. It was so fun seeing the random sculptures, interesting jewelry and watching Eric play the Cajón!

There was an Irish band playing and being there, clapping and bouncing around with Eric, made me so excited for our Katy Perry and OneRepublic concerts this summer together!!

We still have 2 more months of this amazing summer together and so many more things to look forward to!

Eric, Haylie and I are running the Legacy Midnight Half Marathon on July 15th. I am so excited for it! I have run a marathon and 2 half marathons, but I am already more excited and anxious for this half, just because I am running it with Eric and Haylie! Eric and I have been running a lot together lately… actually, Eric has been running, I’ve been dying 2 miles behind him! He told me he never enjoyed running his whole life until now, and hearing him talk about how excited he is for this ½ marathon is making me so excited for it and for him to run it! It really is the most exhilarating feeling when you’re at the starting line with adrenaline pumping and when you cross the finish line with your body totally drained. It is such an accomplishing feeling and I’m so excited for him to experience it! Now all we need to do is get me in shape for it so I can keep up with him!

he's BACK!

 SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

he's back! longest 2 months EVER!!!
I missed him so much! Erics mom drove me to the airport at 6am Thursday morning and I arrived in Seattle at 8am :) Guess who was waiting at the car all fresh with flowers and 2 sobe lifewaters...? He is the sweetest boy ever! I ran and jumped on him and couldn't let him go. It was like the scene from the notebook... but this was way more romantic and Eric is so much cuter! besides, canoeing around ducks in the rain sounds miserable and smelly!
Eric told me he missed taking me out on dates so he took me to Seattle so we could have breakfast outside like true city people.. then we went on a ferry to Bainbridge Island to get some ice cream. We brought a blanket and laid down on the grass :) I missed the feel of him just holding me so tight!
The 16 hour drive home went by fast. It was so fun talking to him and laughing with him in person again! good bye, skype!! We stopped every hour to either get snacks, go to the bathroom or sleep on the grass at sketchy rest stop places.. we laughed the entire way home! No one can make me laugh as hard as Eric does. <3

Now that he's home I can finally see him every day
hug and kiss him whenever I want
and complete our summer list together!!

Eating outside like true city slickers...

eric trying to get rid of his farmers tan :) haha

 driving hooommmeee! :) YESSSSSSSSS!!
Im super gluing him to me from now on...
he is NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!
